So you have been on a horse, taken a boat tour, and are now ready for something a little different. Here are a few tour ideas that have been especially popular with people renting our condos. Reservations can be made during your stay at Bugambilia Blanca.
Sailing

Performance sailboats carry up to 16 individual guests to enjoy the thrill of sailing in a more exclusive, small group, atmosphere. If you have never sailed before this is the perfect opportunity to learn and a short, pre-sail briefing will familiarise you with the basics.
Catch a glimpse of wild dolphins, manta rays and turtles - nothing can be more exhilarating during the winter months then to see a 40ft humpback whale and her calf. Swim and snorkel in Banderas Bay and weather permitting, they will stop at a beautiful beach where you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the protected waters of a secluded cove. Or take in the tropical rays onboard laying back on cushioned mattresses, relaxing to the sounds of the seas and the wind in the billowing sails. Sailboats come staffed with a personal, dedicated crew for a full day's excursion including lunch, snacks and beverages.
Whales, Dolphins and Snorkeling.
The Bay of Banderas is one of the few places in the world that is a natural sanctuary for such a great profusion of nature and sea life. Whales, dolphins, giant manta ray, tropical fish, and indigenous birds, such as blue-footed boobies and red-billed tropicbirds, are among the wonders you will experience. Watching the whales and wild dolphins in their natural habitat is probably the most delightful part of the voyage.
Humpback whales are regularly sighted in the Bay from December to April, giving the opportunity to witness these beautiful giants soaring into the air and to hear them singing their hauntingly beautiful whale songs. Fully equipped and comfortable catamarans carry you comfortably out to the Marietas Islands, whose surrounding waters offer an ideal ecosystem for a prolific array of sea life. Explore rocky caverns by kayak, snorkel or scuba diving. Watch for friendly giant manta rays, sea turtles and abundant multi coloured fish. Afterwards, relax and enjoy lunch on a beautiful, secluded, white sandy beach. A full day including food, open bar, snorkeling, and kayaking equipment. Scuba diving is available for an extra charge for certified divers.
Air adventure to the Village of San Sebastian.

A unique opportunity to venture, by light aircraft, to one of the most remote reaches of the Sierra Madre Mountains, the old silver mining town of San Sebastian. Tucked away in a deep mountain valley, this beautiful village is one of the oldest settlements in Mexico - dating back to 1605. The short, 15-minute scenic flight provides you with a bird's eye view of many wondrous sights - towering waterfalls, misty mountains, verdant vegetation, and rustic pueblos and settlements where societies still live as they did centuries ago.
Once a highly prosperous mining town, San Sebastian reached its peak of prosperity in the 1700s, with over 15,000 inhabitants in the area at that time. Today, San Sebastian remains an outstanding example of the traditional ways of living and working in a remote Mexican mountain village. San Sebastian is a living museum untouched by time, with a rare sense of tranquility and a beautiful simplicity of life - an experience difficult to surpass. This half day tour will appeal to people looking to venture into the more remote reaches of Mexico, and for those curious about this country's culture and history. A professional guide will take you on a comprehensive walking tour of the village, followed by lunch served in a beautiful, 150-year old Hacienda.
Canopy Adventure
Feel an adrenalin rush as you sail from tree platform to tree platform, 30 meters / 90 feet above the floor of a dense tropical forest. Transportation from Puerto Vallarta takes you deep into the country and up to 1600 meters / 5200 feet into the foothills of the Sierra Madre. A tropical sub-deciduous forest, the area boasts a dazzling array of plant and animal life, including numerous bird species, tarantulas, even boa constrictors.
Only recently has this unique ecosystem been accessible. A series of thrilling zip lines now give you the maximum opportunity to marvel at this stunning tropical setting as you traverse, effortlessly, through the huge tropical trees, amongst wild orchids and a diversity of native birds and reptiles. Knowledgeable guides will assist you every step of the way and safety is top priority - participants are under the constant care and supervision of highly qualified personnel. Personnel with over 200 hours of formal training in Canopy Tour operations and safety techniques. Only top-quality equipment is used that is regularly and rigorously inspected and maintained, and not one but two safety ropes are used for your added security. An adventurous and exciting way to explore the depths of the tropical rainforest.
Scuba Diving

Banderas Bay and its surrounding environs enjoy warm, clear waters, fantastic weathers and an abundance of diverse sea life - making it one of Mexico's top dive destinations that offers both beginners and certified scuba divers the opportunity to explore the mystery and wonders of the underwater world.

Non-certified divers can take the 1 tank dives after completing a Discover Scuba Diving (Resort Course). PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certified divers can book the 2 tank dives and must show their diver certification cards, or complete a Refresher Course, if it has been more than 12 months since their last dive. Resort and Refresher Courses are available daily at several hotels in Vallarta and need to be completed before the day of your dive.
Las Marietas Islands - originally made famous by Jacques Cousteau in the 1970's, the Marietas Islands Marine Reserve has now become one of the most popular areas in Western Mexico for scuba diving. This dive site features a variety of tropical fish, mantas, turtles and (December to April), whales. A site with a great variety of caves, reefs, and drop-offs. 9:00am - 4:00pm. Lunch and beverages included.
Las Caletas - the underwater coves, nearby natural reef and diverse array of brilliant sea life make this one of the finest dive sites on the Pacific coast of Mexico. The reef is home to colorful tropical fish, turtles, and sometimes mantas. Good drop-offs, nice shallows, fine beaches. A great place to combine beach combing, lazing in the sun, and diving. 9:00am - 4:00pm. Lunch and beverages included.
Sport Fishing
For sport fishing enthusiasts, deep-sea fishing season runs from November to May with waters abundant with sailfish, billfish, marlin and tuna and renting a charter boat with a fishing guide is easy to arrange. A major International fishing event, the Sailfish Tournament, takes place each year during the first week of November.
Play Golf
Golf enthusiasts can choose from seven different courses to satisfy every taste, so Vallarta is now also known as one of the best locations to play golf at a professional level. Mountain settings, in the midst of fields surrounded by brooks and lagoons, or on one of the ocean side courses - each course is quite different and the views are spectacular. Located more to the north, the courses include two designed by the world famous golf player and course designer Jack Nicklaus. December 2002, Vallarta hosted the PGA golf tournament at the Vista Vallarta Club de Golf.
